Sam Tabar Financial Strategist and Finance Expert

Sam Tabar who came to the firm, Full Cycle Energy Fund in 2014 was named Chief Operating Officer in 2015. His function at the company is to oversee the company’s fund management strategy.

FullCycle Energy Fund was founded in 2013 by Ibrahim AlHusseini. It mission is to help finance projects that will convert waste into clean energy. By converting waste into energy they are effectively creating a valuable resource that will be efficient, cost effective and benefit the environment. Before taking a position with Full Cycle Energy Fund, he went back to practicing law at Schulte, Roth & Zabel LLP, as a Senior Associate in 2013. His job responsibilities included working with hedge funds, fund formation and structure and issues regarding regulatory and compliance.

In 2011 he took a position at Merrill Lynch as Director and Head of Capital Strategy. He provided their fund managers introductions to different institutional investors, such as foundations, pensions and endowments. He was able to increase the company’s list of institutional investors to 1250.

In 2004 he joined Sparx Group as Co-Head of Marketing, he managed all aspects of their global marketing activity. During his tenure at Sparx he was able to build a personal list of over 2000 potential investors, with over 400 investor introductions for the company. Moreover, he assisted management in raising over 1.2 billion dollars in assets on all of the company’s business development matters.

Bloomberg said that after Sam Tabar graduated from Columbia Law School in 2001, he joined the law office of Skadden, Arps, Meagher, Slate & Flom as an associate During his six years at Skadden he was responsible for counseling clients on hedge fund formation, investment management, regulatory and compliance issues.

According to Art Station, Sam Tabar got his BA from Oxford University in 2000 and his Master Degree in Law in 2001 at the Columbia Law School. He is a member of the New York State Bar.
