Plot Details Emerge for ‘Finding Dory’

‘Finding Nemo’ may have stolen our hearts but it has been over a decade since we’ve gotten to see our favorite animated fish take the silver screen. Pixar blew up in the news when they announced a ‘sort of’ sequel with ‘Finding Dory’ and now we are finally learning a little bit about the project. With ‘Finding Nemo’ being the studios second highest earning film of all time, we know that ‘Dory’ needs to make major waves for the company. Let’s take a look at some of the details to emerge about the film.

Pixar President Jim Morris went on record at Comic-Con Brazil to talk about ‘Finding Dory’. The monolithic President revealed that the majority of the story will occur in the Marine Biology Institute of California, which should place a heavy emphasis on the human element. Morris revealed that this location is a ‘rehab clinic for marine and aquarium life’. One of the film reveals will show that Dory was raised in captivity, amongst other fish in the Institute of California, before being released into the open sea.

Fans of ‘Finding Nemo’ and Pixar in general should be more than relieved to hear this piece of the story leak. For years Pixar has been under fire for their reliance on sequels and their inability to tread new ground. It looks as if, with ‘Finding Dory’, that Pixar is looking to explore new territory with one of their greatest products. Thanks to friend Bruce Levenson for sharing this story.
