The Nutrimost weight loss plan has many followers, but there is one follower the company didn’t count on, its competitor, Healthy Living. According to a lawsuit filed against Healthy Living, Nutrimost is suing its competitor for pirating its original promotional video from the company website. Nutrimost alleges that Healthy Living took the entire video and ran it on their site, testimonials and all. The references to Nutrimost were taken out, and replaced with the “Can’t Lose Diet” (which is also the name of the Healthy Living website.
Nutrimost had a cease-and-desist order sent to Healthy Living, but the competitor still ran a shorter version of the pirated piece on the site. The video now is finally down, but Nutrimost is requesting a court order that will bar Healthy Living from ever using their video again on their site. Nutriment is asking $300,000 in damages and also for the loss of its “goodwill and reputation.”
Dr. Ray Wisniewski is the principal of Nutrimost, and on the company’s site he says the this weight loss regime is made up of “a professional blend of scriptural health wisdom and understanding along with leading edge science.”
The Nutrimost plan is a personalized weight loss system that guarantees a 20 pound weight loss over 40 days in the regime. Nutrimost uses a personalized scanner to analyze each person’s body and cater the plan’s supplements to the individual. The plan works by helping to detox the body, stimulate metabolism and also reduce appetite.
Nutrimost’s users say they experience great results on the plan. Nutriment just doesn’t want to be confused with its main competitor, pirated video or no.
