Dr. Shiva Gopal Vasishta Reliefs Persons with Multiple Sclerosis.

A study conducted by the National Institutes of health reveals that there is great hope in the fight against multiple sclerosis. The study proposes the stem-cell transplants to be helpful in this battle. As stated by the study, the stem cell of one’s blood cells has a possibility of yielding long-term remission of MS symptoms. The results of this treatment known as immunosuppressive therapy and autologous hematopoietic cell transplant is breathtaking. The study results show that after the participants receiving a one-time treatment within a range of five years, 69 out of 100 encountered no progression of symptoms, new brain lesions or even relapse.

It is apparent that the one-time intervention is by far more implicative than the MS drugs commonly prescribed for treatment. However, there is the need for more research. The study is known as HALT-MS. It did an assessment on HDIT/HCT in 24 clinics with the participants having 26 to 52 years of age. All the participants had had the MS but continued to get worse. The treatment can, therefore, be an option to those people who fail to respond to other forms of treatments.
