Yanni Hufnagel’s Coaching Career

Throughout the years, Yanni Hufnagel has made his career pretty successful. The 34 year old coach first started his coaching career at Oklahoma University where he started out as a graduate assistant coach for men’s basketball. During his time at Oklahoma University, he was since credited for his coaching and also earned a Masters degree in Adult and Higher education and an emphasis in athletics administration. After his ride at Oklahoma University, Yanni Hufnagel then later joined the Harvard men’s basketball team as their assistant coach in 2009. In the four years Hufnagel stayed with Harvard, he was referred to the the coach with the most energy and being relentless at winning. Also in a 2011 survey made by CBS Sports, Hufnagel was declared most likely to make it big for his recruiting abilities.

After his four years at Harvard, Yanni Hufnagel then joined the Vanderbuilt Commodores as their assistant coach in 2013. Even though during his coaching at Vanderbuilt, he was credited by ESPN, and even helped Vanderbuilt rank 29th, he left after just one season. Soon after leaving, Yanni Hufnagel joined the California Golden Bears in 2014 as their assistant coach. In his short 2 years at the University of California, Hufnagel was able to land the Golden Bears a Number 4 spot in the NCAA Tournament which has also been a mark in history. Yanni was able to keep the school in the top 10 rankings since he became assistant coach, which was amazing! After his resignation from California, Yanni Hufnagel landed him a spot on the University of Nevada’s men’s basketball team; the wolf packs as their assistant coach. After last April, Yanni parted ways with the wolf pack and now does interviews. Over the years of assistant coaching, Yanni Hufnagel’s track record became unbelievably successful.
